FRESH AI NEWS

OpenAI debuts Deep Research 🤖 🧠

OpenAI has recently launched a new ChatGPT agent called "Deep Research," designed to assist users with complex, multi-step research tasks.

Deep Research can conduct extensive research on the internet, synthesizing information from numerous sources to create comprehensive reports. This capability is powered by a special version of OpenAI's upcoming o3 model, optimized for web browsing and data analysis

It can accomplish in tens of minutes what would take a human many hours, making it a valuable tool for time-intensive tasks.

Every output is fully documented with clear citations and a summary of the reasoning process, making it easy to reference and verify the information ℹ️

Users can select "Deep Research" in the message composer, enter their query, and even attach files or spreadsheets for additional context. The agent then provides a summary of the steps taken and sources used 🌐

Currently, Deep Research is available to ChatGPT Pro users, with plans to expand access to Plus and Team users soon

Here’s everything you need to know about Deep Research ⬇️

OpenAI hints future move towards smart jewelry?! 💎

OpenAI has recently filed a new trademark application with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), hinting at potential new products including humanoid robots and smart jewelry 🤔

The trademark application includes references to humanoid robots, indicating that OpenAI might be developing advanced robotics with human-like features and capabilities 🤖

Another intriguing aspect is the mention of smart jewelry, which could involve wearable technology integrated with AI functionalities 💍

The application also covers a wide range of software related to language models, AI, and machine learning, suggesting continued innovation in these areas.

The Beatles won a Grammy, thanks to AI 🎵

The Beatles made history by winning a Grammy for their AI-assisted song "Now and Then" 🎶

The song was created using AI technology to clean up and enhance old demo recordings of John Lennon's vocals, which were then combined with new recordings from Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr 🎤

Sean Ono Lennon, John Lennon's son, accepted the award on behalf of the band.

This achievement marks the first time an AI-assisted song has won a Grammy, showcasing the potential of AI in the music industry

Mark Zuckerburg is NOT scared of DeepSeek 👀

Mark Zuckerberg recently addressed concerns about DeepSeek, a Chinese AI startup that has developed a highly efficient AI model.

During Meta's earnings call, Zuckerberg stated that DeepSeek's advancements have actually strengthened Meta's commitment to its AI ambitions 🤔

Zuckerberg emphasized that Meta will continue to invest heavily in AI, with plans to spend between $60 billion and $65 billion this year. He believes that having substantial computing resources will remain crucial for developing and running advanced AI systems.

Despite the market's initial reaction to DeepSeek's cost-efficient model, Zuckerberg remains confident that Meta's strategy of significant investment in AI infrastructure will be advantageous in the long run

Zuckerberg's remarks suggest that Meta views competition as an opportunity to enhance its own AI capabilities rather than a threat (cliche, I know 👀)
