Meta bringing AI generated profiles to Instagram  🤖 

Meta has announced plans to integrate AI-generated profiles across its platforms, including Facebook and Instagram.

These AI personas will have bios, profile pictures, and the ability to create content, existing alongside regular accounts 👀 

Meta's VP of product revealed that trial AI character creation tools have already produced hundreds of thousands of characters, though most remain private. The company plans to introduce new text-to-video generation software, allowing creators to insert themselves into AI-created videos.

However, experts have raised concerns about potential risks, such as the spread of false narratives and the need for robust safeguards 🤔 

The introduction of AI personas is part of Meta's broader strategy to gather training data for AI-driven "NPC" characters in virtual reality. This move has sparked controversy, with questions about the authenticity of AI-generated content and its impact on social interaction 🛡️ 

AI finds out big secrets in famous painting 🎨

Researchers have recently uncovered a fascinating secret about Raphael's famous painting, "Madonna della Rosa." 

Using advanced AI analysis, they discovered that the face of St. Joseph in the painting was likely not painted by Raphael himself. Instead, it appears that another artist, possibly Raphael's talented pupil Giulio Romano, contributed to this part of the artwork 🖼️ 

The AI system, built on Microsoft's ResNet50 framework, was trained to recognize Raphael's unique style by analyzing authenticated paintings down to microscopic brushstroke patterns and color techniques.

This breakthrough demonstrates how AI can complement art historians' expertise, offering new tools for authenticating and understanding centuries-old masterpieces ✅ 

Samsung’s major step into robotics 🤖 

Samsung has made a significant move in the robotics industry by investing $181 million to increase its stake in Rainbow Robotics to 35%, making it the largest shareholder 📈 

This strategic investment aims to accelerate the development of advanced humanoid robots, combining Samsung's AI and software expertise with Rainbow Robotics' experience in robotics 🤖 

Rainbow Robotics, known for creating Korea's first two-legged walking robot, Hubo, will now work closely with Samsung to develop humanoid robots capable of understanding and following complex instructions, navigating challenging environments, and interacting naturally with humans. Samsung plans to use these robots in its manufacturing and logistics operations, enhancing efficiency and productivity.

This move positions Samsung as a serious competitor in the humanoid robotics sector, alongside other tech giants like Tesla, OpenAI, and Nvidia 👀
