ChatGPT facing major issues? 👀 

ChatGPT is experiencing a global outage, affecting users across multiple regions. The disruption began on June 10, 2025, with reports of slow responses, login failures, and blank chat windows.

Downdetector recorded a surge in complaints, peaking at over 1,100 user reports. OpenAI acknowledged the issue, stating that ChatGPT, Sora (its AI video tool), and OpenAI APIs were impacted.

Engineers have identified the root cause and are working on a fix. Some users can access ChatGPT, but performance remains sluggish. Perplexity, an AI search engine using OpenAI models, is also experiencing elevated error rates. OpenAI’s status page confirms ongoing recovery efforts. The outage has sparked frustration online, with users sharing memes and concerns about lost work. OpenAI has yet to provide a timeline for full restoration.

Meta is (reportedly) making a $15 billion bet on AGI 👀 

Meta is making a bold move in AI, reportedly investing $15 billion in Scale AI to accelerate its artificial general intelligence (AGI) ambitions. This deal would give Meta a 49% stake in Scale AI, a company known for providing training data to AI leaders like OpenAI, Google, Microsoft, and Meta itself.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg is personally assembling a team of 50 AI experts, including Scale AI’s CEO Alexandr Wang, to lead a new AI superintelligence lab. The company aims to catch up with rivals like OpenAI and Google, who have dominated the AI race.

Scale AI, valued at $25 billion, expects its 2025 revenue to double to around $2 billion. Meta’s investment signals a major escalation in its AI efforts as it seeks to develop AGI systems that surpass human intelligence
